I didn't realise that humans were designed by evolution to be omnivores.
I thought apes were vegetarian. I'm a fan of the "out of water" theory
of human evolution, i.e. the step between apes and man had an
intermediary stage where people lived an aquatic life. It's why we're
hairless compared to the apes, why babies can float and stuff, and why
we sweat so much. So my guess is we're really designed to be fishatarian
(piscetarian sounds like a religion and everyone can understand what a
fishatarian is). At some stage in evolution humankind went back to a
predominantly land-based life and I guess this is when they started
eating meat.
Anyway, vegetarians, in general, have higher IQs. Cause, effect and
relevance? Nothing. But it's interesting for the media.
