The breadth of pathologisation of psychiatry

Depression and anxiety. People know those. Schizophrenia and bipolar. People know those. Personality disorders. People know psychopathy. People know paedophilia and rape. These are sort of concepts of psychiatry too. People may have different opinions but these and many other diagnoses fill the psychiatric textbooks.

They're all clearly not the same thing nor come from the same root nor are treated the same way. Currently they are all lumped into the same category by people outside the mental health profession.

We It comes in part from an appreciation that no one can truly sign their own work. Everything is many influences coming together to the one moment where a work exists. The other is a begrudging acceptance that my work was never my own. There is another consciousness or non-corporeal entity that helps and harms me in everything I do.
