Cannabis, schizophrenia and altruism

I wonder if people who smoke cannabis are in general more altruistic?

They might be for a variety of reasons. One of them, perhaps, might be because of the drug or their choice of drug.

Schizophrenia is associated the dopamine receptors. D2 I think. These are what modern antipsychotics work to repress. I just wonder...well...I can't even guess at cause and effect.

The association between neurotransmitters for schizophrenia and altruism is little know. People usually take about creativity. They often don't mention the dopamine studies about promisciousness and infidelity.

Most people who have ever used cannabis don't have schizophrenia. Most of them don't know about the relationship between schizophrenia and altruism either. They might be able to recognise it in themselves. Many cannabis users are also philanthrophic.

I don't know if anyone has asked the research question whether cannabis users are, in general, more altruistic. We all know the hippy stereotype. They're usually on drugs but fun ones which enhance consciousness. Is it true though.

And, of course, there's not been enough research into the altruism aspect of schizophrenia. Fuck jesus and muhammed and all the rest. Those people who were so crazy as to commune with god and do good things in their lives that other people talked about for generations. Fuck them. They're just a bunch of dead schizophrenics and no one gives a flying fuck.

About Me

We It comes in part from an appreciation that no one can truly sign their own work. Everything is many influences coming together to the one moment where a work exists. The other is a begrudging acceptance that my work was never my own. There is another consciousness or non-corporeal entity that helps and harms me in everything I do. I am not I because of this force or entity. I am "we"
