Gross Domestic Happiness still on the UK policy agenda

This is really good news. The financial crisis could have crippled the
movement towards measuring a country's success by happiness rather than
productivity. This is civilisation truly evolving to something better.
Of course people in the future will still end up using happiness as a
way to effect social control and behavioural modification. There are
still the problems of measurement of happiness in the first place - my
idea of happiness is different to yours. But it's a start. Most of all,
it's politicians sticking to important policies. This one's a really
important one.
