Watching the development of mindshare

Mindshare is a term coined by Alvin Toffler to describe a concept beyond
market share. Mind share is about owning the public consciousness and is
usually a marketing term. Amazon has the mind share for selling books
online because everyone thinks of them first just as they think of Ebay
for selling items online. It is domination of a market such that it
changes the way people think and their associations connect immediately
with a certain brand.

Augmented reality is the next electronic frontier. It's the most
exciting development in computer technology in the last couple of years
and will influence how people interact with electronic information and
computers across the next decade and beyond. The brightest entrepreneurs
are getting into the market now even though there's few users as yet and
the applications are limited.

Augmented reality is the industry term and every technogeek has heard of
it. QPC Mobility and their founder Steve Chao are subtly
reconceptualising it and selling the idea as Articulated Naturality and
Articulated Naturality Web which is seen as the next significant
evolution of the internet. I think their aim is for people to use tbeir
term AN to describe what's essentially AR but tthe aim is to capture the
mind share early on in the development of this new field.

Steve Chao is truly a visionary and has seen the opportunity and is
taking an ambitious tack to get the mind share for Articulated
Naturality. It's fascianting to watch because this is the cutting edge
of marketing as well as the cutting edge of technology.

The stealth competitors like Amazon and Ebay had a very different market
and paradigm. QPC Mobility is David to the Goliaths of Microsoft and
Qualcomm, companies with huge brands and massive budgets but these once
dyanmic companies are now leviathans too slow to keep up with a rapidly
changing world.
They're taking a conservative. At the moment it's Nokia in the UK who
are bringing AR to the attention of the public with the promotion
Conspiracy for Good. It'll be interesting to see how QPC Mobility respond.

About Me

We It comes in part from an appreciation that no one can truly sign their own work. Everything is many influences coming together to the one moment where a work exists. The other is a begrudging acceptance that my work was never my own. There is another consciousness or non-corporeal entity that helps and harms me in everything I do. I am not I because of this force or entity. I am "we"
