Why does stuff sound so good in Latin?

Perhaps next Valentine's Day say to the person you love, "you are my
alpha and my omega" which sort of means "you are my beginning and my
end" which sort of means you are my everything.

That's pretty sweet right?

It's certainly a lot better than "you are my A to Z" which has a
different and less poetic meaning. Definitely not as romantic.
