Am I too black and white about psychiatry

Perhaps.

Perhaps not.

Imagine you are mad pride. It would sort of like be like being gay pride a century ago.

"But how could we expect the human race to survive if people were gay? It must be an illness. Let me, out of compassion for you, treat you. Be normal and stop fucking men."

Is that too black and white. Do I have to explain that this high contrast style is necessary given the insanity which exists today where the mad are considered mentally ill and evidence sought to support the notion of their diseased state of being?
