A hundred years of psychiatry

Understand history and understand history. Look back two hundred years and be reveiled by the treatments. Step forward a century and look back on us accepting modern psychiatry and the revulsion is constant.

Or it should be.

The weird, the crazy, the mad are part of the human condition. Like the diversity of flora and fauna the extremes are hunted to extinction during a time of poor understanding.

Too many human types repressed and killed early. How many centuries does it take for people to see?

Though it is done in kindness it reeks of incompetence. It is not malice. Just a social problem dealt with by chemical means.
