If you have a loud, critical inner voice do you end up being a loony?

In other words, how good is the validity and reliability of the
diagnosis of schizophrenia?

The answer is no. Richard Bentall's award-winning book Madness Explained
explains the science (or pseudoscience as he calls it, echoing Thomas
Szasz before him) much better than I can.

It doesn't answer its own question though: what is madness?
