I've just asked what I hope will be an interesting question to a Scientologist

It's about whether melatonin is considered a psychiatric drug in their
church. The Scientologists are ardently against any psychiatric
medication and I think they're against physical pain relief too. From
what I know of melatonin it's a brain chemical which is made from the
breakdown of serotonin. It is safe and non-addictive as far as I am
aware which is why it's sold over the counter in the US. In the UK it's
only available on prescription but anyone can Google it and find a
seller to get it shipped over. It's 3am and I could do with some now myself.

I've tried to ask the right question. Is it a psychiatric medication or
a nutritional supplement. I think the Scientologists would be ok with
food supplements. I think they'd be ok with vitamin supplements but I
know very little about the religion nor exactly why they don't believe
in psychiatric medication. The example he gave me came from a post about
taurine (the stimulant in Red Bull). He proposed that animals don't
medicate so why should we however I remembered a little about aspirin
which is found in a natural form in Pussy Willow trees. Somewhere I
remember hearing that deer in pain would chew on the bark.

About Me

We It comes in part from an appreciation that no one can truly sign their own work. Everything is many influences coming together to the one moment where a work exists. The other is a begrudging acceptance that my work was never my own. There is another consciousness or non-corporeal entity that helps and harms me in everything I do. I am not I because of this force or entity. I am "we"
