Research, impact on the media and distribution lists

This was published recently.

Acupuncture stimulates release of natural painkillers, researchers say

The review of studies was published in 2008 then republished or corrected in 2009. It's recently been accepted into the NHS mental health evidence database. They email out the latest additions every month. There were lots of interesting papers. This was probably the lowest quality paper with the least amount of information in the DARE record from last month's crop of papers. But the media picked this one possibly because it's more interesting and topical after the recent libel law victory where Simon Singh successfully appealed against the British Chiropractors Association's case.

I picked a different paper to publicise. This is a much higher quality paper and another one I wish I could read. It's more rigorous but it's not interesting to the media.

The two DARE links are

The most interesting recent publication on the list was the WHO's book, "Equity, social determinants and public health programmes", but it's 303 pages long. I'm sure it'll get some coverage.

About Me

We It comes in part from an appreciation that no one can truly sign their own work. Everything is many influences coming together to the one moment where a work exists. The other is a begrudging acceptance that my work was never my own. There is another consciousness or non-corporeal entity that helps and harms me in everything I do. I am not I because of this force or entity. I am "we"
