Credit firms look to exploit those with low financial capability or learning disabilities.

Complex mobile phone contracts or pay as you go pricing confuse
consumers into spending more than they need to paying more for less.

Sales people try to trick people into getting products they don't need
such as Payment Protection Insurance or misadvise customer to sell them
products with sales bonuses.

The credit industry is a mystery wrapped in an enigma for anyone who
doesn't work in the industry and even for those that do. The public are
exploited as happened with the recent legal case against Goldman Sachs.
What should be a simple thing - getting a mortgage to buy a property -
is made into a complex process that disadvantages vast swathes of the
public with unnecessary complexity. These complexities mean people who
are considered to have a learning disability or other mental health
problem are disadvantaged and exploitable.
